My late honorary sister and the legendary civil rights activist, Rosa Parks, once said "I had no idea history was being made, I was just tired of giving up." Many times people find themselves becoming leaders by no intention of their own. How do I become a leader? Glad you asked . . but . . Unfortunately leadership is not like math or science. There is no "formula" or "equation" that results in leadership. However there is one key component that will be of assistance . . SELF! By being amazingly you and embodying your identity, you are a leader. Naturally we think leaders must be extroverted, have a long list of accolades, be well known, etc. This is FAR from true. Leaders come in many forms and fashions. Leaders don't even have to be on the front lines . Leadership can happen from behind the scene. The news anchor is never seen without the camera man. Leaders never say "I don't know" they say "I will find out". Leaders inquire about things of which they are unsure of in order to improve their running knowledge. Leaders unconsciously sacrifice to assist others. Leaders do not create followers, they create more leaders. Leaders eat last.
