If you're reading this on 6/19, Happy #Juneteenth -- if you're reading this later, happy whatever day it is!

May everyday be a day of cultural celebration and appreciation!

S/O to Canva for this amazing graphic that I will use for a personal charge to each of you -- Enjoy and share this piece!

Celebrate
In whatever way is most natural to you, celebrate black culture regularly. For many this may mean more intentionally including black businesses in your budget, selecting black speakers for your events or podcast episodes, hosting equity based training for your team(s), being more conscious of your language or simply changing the way you speak to and about your black brothers and sisters. Whatever this means for you, do it and do it unapologetically.

Black history is American history. Black people have done AMAZING things despite adversity and for that and more, we deserve to be celebrated. For those like myself who do not take our ancestors work lightly, continue to be their wildest dream. Operate and own your excellence. Be an agent of change and example for the next generation of leaders!
Liberate
Liberate by definition means to set free from imprisonment or bondage.

I challenge you to continually push the narrative of liberated mindset. To be truly free you must believe in freedom.

As we are liberated from our own fear, Our presence automatically liberates others. —Marianne Williamson

May your presence liberate others to think free, to feel free and to ultimately be free.

Educate
Educate about our culture. Don't make others (black, white or yellow) feel inferior because they know less than you. On the same account, if you ever feel inferior because you don't know a vast amount about black history or struggle with cultural competency, invest in learning but don't feel small for not knowing.  Life is a classroom and there are several ways to engage in learning. From talking to others to researching to reading books to listening to stories from older generations . . . the options are endless. I challenge you here to lift as you climb -- each one teach one. For me this looks like mentoring young brown girls, for you it may be educating a friend, raising your kids to be culturally aware, teaching students or sharing messaging via social platforms; as with celebration -- do whatever is most natural to you and embrace it :)

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. - Nelson Mandela

I wanted to create this short read as a source of DAILY inspiration to celebrate, liberate and educate -- cheers to you UNLEASHing this in whatever way you choose!
